PASTORAL CARE

The pastoral care in MIGS is firmly built on the policy of providing a warm and caring environment in which pupils can grow into mature, responsible, caring individuals. The personal development and well-being of each child is of paramount importance and students are encouraged to have high self-esteem and be self-motivated. Every member of the teaching staff is responsible for the overall development and happiness of the pupils. Additional care is also provided through our ‘teacher –friend’ policy activities.

The Prefect Induction Programme for new prefects which is held every year focuses on the following:

     •    Pledge
     •    The rules and regulations of the school
     •    Team and character building, leadership skills

After the successful induction programme, the installation ceremony takes place. They become fully fledged prefects after they receive their ties and badges. They are then expected to carry out their duties responsibly.
