Senior School

The Curriculum

Mutiara International Grammar School, Senior School, is an English language medium school
which follows the British National Curriculum leading to the IGCSE.

The syllabus is therefore structured to ensure success in the Key Stage 3 external
examinations at 14 and the University of Cambridge external examinations.

Strong emphasis is placed on the teaching of English, Science. Mathematics, Information Technology
and Computer Studies. Furthermore, the School believes that the written and spoken skills of students are
important in preparing them not only for examinations but also life beyond Mutiara.

In the Senior School, English Language, Mathematics and science are obligatory for
every year and “set” according to student’s ability. “Setting” in these core subjects
allows the close monitoring of each student.
