English as an Additional Language (EAL)
Supporting Students Learning English
Our English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme is designed for students whose first language is not English and who require additional language support to fully access the curriculum.
Students are assessed upon entry and placed into appropriate learning groups based on their English proficiency. Support may be provided through:
- Small group lessons
- In-class support
- Targeted language intervention
- Personalised learning strategies
The programme helps students build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing while successfully integrating into mainstream classrooms.

English Enhancement Programme (EEP)
Learning at the Right Level, Not Just the Right Age
Every child develops language skills at their own pace. Our English Enhancement Programme (EEP) is designed to support students by placing them according to their current English proficiency, rather than solely by their age or year group.
This personalised approach ensures that students receive targeted instruction that matches their individual learning needs, allowing them to build confidence, strengthen their language skills, and progress at a pace that is both achievable and appropriately challenging.
Through small-group learning, our experienced teachers provide focused support in reading, writing, speaking, and listening while helping students develop the academic English needed to succeed across all subjects.
As students demonstrate progress, they move through different proficiency levels, ensuring they are continually challenged and supported throughout their English learning journey.
