Mutiara International Grammar School (MIGS) offers a selected number of academic scholarships to recognise and support high-performing students with strong academic potential, leadership qualities, and active participation in co-curricular activities.

Who Should Apply
Strong Academic Performance
Applicants should demonstrate consistent academic excellence with strong results in core subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science.
English Proficiency
Students must be able to learn and communicate effectively in an English-speaking academic environment.
Co-Curricular Involvement
Active participation in sports, arts, clubs, or competitions is encouraged as part of a well-rounded profile.
Leadership & Communication
Applicants should show confidence, initiative, and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.

Open to both new and existing MIGS students from self-paying families.
Eligible Entry Level
Students currently in Year 6 (entering Year 7) or Year 9 (entering Year 10) for the 2026/2027 intake.
Assessment Requirement
Applicants must complete either the Cambridge Checkpoint or CAT4 assessment, which will determine scholarship eligibility.
How Students Are Assessed
Option 1
Cambridge Checkpoint
- English, Mathematics, Science scores
- Minimum 46+ (Outstanding Band) required
- Higher scores qualify for higher scholarship tiers
Option 2
CAT4 Assessment
- Minimum SAS 125 (Top 5%) for 50% scholarship
- Minimum SAS 120–124 for 25% scholarship
How to Apply
Step 1
Submit Application
Complete the MIGS Student Application Form and submit the required documents, including academic transcripts, a student CV, and two recommendation letters.
Step 2
Pay Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee of RM500 is required to process the scholarship application.
Step 3
Scholarship Assessment
Applicants will be assessed based on their academic results and performance in either the Cambridge Checkpoint or CAT4 assessment.
Step 4
Interview
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to attend an interview with the MIGS Scholarship Committee.
Step 5
Results Notification
All applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee, and results will be announced by mid-June 2026.

Students are only eligible for one scholarship, and awards cannot be combined.
